Data Base (DB)
It has been designed as a relational model structured in different tables that allow storing key information for the correct functioning of the platform. The user table stores personal data, nutritional goals and food preferences, while the meal plan table records the assigned diets along with their respective nutritional details.
In addition, a meal history is included, allowing the storage of food consumed, facilitating the analysis of each user's progress. A food and recipe table has also been incorporated, containing detailed information on each ingredient and predefined recipes, thus offering a greater level of personalisation in nutritional plans.
In order to ensure efficiency in data retrieval, the following have been developed optimised consultations by implementing well-structured indexes and relationships. In addition, they have made initial inserts for uploading basic information, such as food and nutritional parameters, allowing the system to be ready for use right from the start.
