Why study the Advanced DevOps and Multicloud programme?
This training is the definitive leap to lead modern systems engineering, allowing you to manage complex infrastructures on any cloud with complete autonomy. You will master error-free application deployment and the creation of automatic environments using Terraform, ensuring maximum quality in every release. It is a high-level programme focused on containers, advanced CI/CD, and multicloud strategies to orchestrate global-scale technological operations.
Prerequisites
- Mandatory
- Git real: branches, PRs, basic conflict resolution.
- Basic scripting (PowerShell or Bash) for automation.
- Conceptual understanding of CI/CD (pipelines, stages, artefacts).
- Having completed Block 1 (ideal) and/or having equivalent knowledge; if taken as part of the
- “DevOps Engineer Certificate”, assuming Block 1 as the foundation.
- Recommended
- Experience with Docker (build/run, images, registries) and/or an understanding of Kubernetes.
- Having worked with at least one cloud environment at an operational level (IAM, networking, deployments).
Program aims
- Professional Delivery: CI/CD as Code
- Design and maintain YAML pipelines (stages, jobs, tasks, variables/parameters, templates, triggers, and strategies).
- Implement traceability and versioning practices (auto-tagging, conventions, and delivery criteria).
- Containers and Deployments
- Build and run Docker images and containers, and orchestrate local environments using Docker Compose for development and testing.
- Manage registries and deploy containerised workloads on managed cloud services (e.g., ACI / Cloud Run / Fargate).
- Design and implement Blue/Green and Canary strategies, controlling traffic routing/parallelisation to minimise risk when operating in production.
- Shift-left: Quality controls “to the left”
- Integrate automated validations into the pipeline: unit testing and acceptance testing (FE/UI and API), elevating the quality standard before deployment.
- Release Management and feature flags
- Separate deploy from release and govern releases with trunk-based development and feature flagging to reduce risk and improve delivery control.
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (multicloud)
- Master the basics of Terraform (providers, commands and project structure).
- Implement remote state, workspaces and environment management; understand implicit/explicit dependencies and execution from repos/pipelines in Azure/AWS/GCP.
- Apply advanced practices: modules, outputs, state management/locks, validations, unit tests, conditionals/loops, and credential/state security (incl. integration with Vault).
Career Readiness
The comprehensive training we deliver to our students thoroughly prepares them for the employment market. Through a personalized syllabus, we help them develop professional skills, establish relationships with companies and sail through recruitment processes.
An alternative training
In all our content, we include a percentage of Human Sciences to connect technology with soft skills.
Learning By Doing Methodology
It focuses on the practical application of knowledge and skills to foster meaningful and lasting learning.
