Miguel Rego

Miguel Rego is the KDL for IMMUNE's Cybersecurity area and one of the most prominent figures in the national and international cybersecurity, defence, and innovation ecosystem.

With over 25 years of experience advising boards of directors, CEOs, and public institutions on cyber-risk management and security crises, they bring the same strategic vision to the classroom that they currently use to assist international organisations and companies in highly regulated sectors.

He has been Director General of INCIBE, a member of the National Cybersecurity Council, and CEO and Vice-President of FUNDITEC, leading projects that connect cybersecurity, defence, artificial intelligence, and dual-use technologies.

He currently works as a Senior Strategic Advisor and independent consultant, as well as collaborating with the Inter-American Development Bank advising Latin American administrations on digital transformation, cybersecurity, and innovation.

In IMMUNE, Miguel turns that high-level experience into practical learning: students work with real cyber crisis scenarios, board-level cybersecurity governance, risk models, and cases where decisions truly matter.

Security Validation Analyst, Threat Emulation Specialist

Collaborate between Red and Blue teams to improve detection, response, and resilience against attacks. Analyse the results of offensive testing and strengthen defensive mechanisms. This is a specialisation role that typically requires previous experience in Red or Blue teams.

Technologies SIEM, pentesting tools, MITRE ATT&CK frameworks, Python scripts.
