How to improve your skills as a UX/UI designer

Design-talk_UX/ UI

I'm Raúl Marín, UX/UI Area Director at IMMUNE and from now on, I will share with you every week some of the news, trends, books or links that have surprised me during the week and that have to do with the UX/UI sector. Let's start!

New in Figma that you can't miss out on!

LottieFilesthe Lottie animation marketplace and repository (the best format to include vector animations in your projects), has released a plugin that converts your Figma frame animations into animations that can be included in your website or app with 0 effort.. You can stop using After Effects, Rive and other more complex tools and make your own pieces at the speed of light. I've already tried it and it's simply great.

Resource for training in the UX/UI industry

Degreeles.design is a comprehensive repository of content curated by Tregg Frank which gives you a lot of ideas if you are interested in pursuing improving your skills as a designer or even if you want to get started in the design world.. It is structured in thematic blocks (basics, ux, inspriration...) and some of its contents provide a lot of value. Ideal if you are one of those who are self-taught...

Training: Discover the world of UX/UI Design

If you prefer to have a structured plan and you are more into training with a teacher, projects, solving doubts live... I take this opportunity and invite you to the 2nd conference of Introduction to UX that I will be giving live next 3 and 10 June for Zoom. It's on Saturday but, what better than starting the weekend with a coffee at home learning some of those nerdy things we UX/UI designers do?

Documentary for UX/UI designers: "Eames, the architect and the painter".

The website that I recommended before, begins with a very interesting phrase of one of the great references of modern universal design, Charles Eames ".To be a good designer you must be a good engineer in every sense: curious, inquisitive". Charles was trying to convey the idea that po be a good designer, it is essential to have a curious and exploratory mindset.. Curiosity drives you to constantly seek new ideas and perspectives, while an inquisitive attitude leads you to delve into details and understand challenges.

These qualities allow you to question the status quo, generate innovative solutions and tackle problems effectively. So you know that in order to be a good designer you need to combine creative skills with an analytical mindset and a thirst for knowledge. So while you're at it, you can learn more about the interesting life of the Eames couple in this docu "Eames, the architect and the painter".

A small reflection...

We close with a small reflection on the article that, a few days ago, was published in Brandemia, org: What are the challenges for the future of design?. For International Design Day, it highlights the key challenges facing the design industry. After reading it, we can, of course, ask ourselves a few questions...

>Can we effectively integrate sustainability into our designs and creative processes?

>How can we adapting and harnessing emerging technology to drive innovation in the design?
>How possible is it personalise the user experience to meet changing needs and expectations?

>How can we fostering collaboration and teamwork within the design industry? Exploring these questions helps to generate valuable reflections on the future of design and promotes a rich dialogue within the community. How do you see it?

See you next week!
