Looking ahead, it is estimated that the industry will demand more than 90,000 data and artificial intelligence experts in the next three years, underlining the ongoing need for professionals specialising in emerging technologies.
According to recent data from the National Statistics Institute (INE), the number of people employed in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector has grown by 31 Q3Q3, reaching 564,137 people. This places Spain as one of the countries in the European Union with the highest rate of STEM specialists (82%) with higher education.
