IMMUNE Technology Institute and Banco Santander<\/a> have signed a cooperation agreement in the field of the cybersecurity and education<\/strong>. The two entities thus initiate a joint action plan that aims to promoting knowledge, employability and the improvement of the cybersecurity talent<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shortage of technology talent has increased markedly in recent years. According to a recent ISC2 study,<\/a> the global workforce gap of cyber security<\/strong> grew by 26 % in 2022, amounting to a total of 3.4 million worldwide. Furthermore, according to the National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE), in Spain there is currently a gap of up to 30,000 unfilled cybersecurity vacancies<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As technology progresses, the demand for trained cybersecurity professionals<\/strong> far exceeds the supply of young talent specialising in this discipline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The increasing sophistication of threats and the expansion of the digital attack surface have boosted the need for cyber security experts and, despite the growing awareness of the importance of cyber security, the rapid evolution of threats and competition from other technology disciplines have contributed to the skills gap in this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cybersecurity talent<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This situation poses significant challenges for organisations seeking to protect their assets and highlights the urgent need for investment in the training and talent attraction <\/strong>in the field of cybersecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The alliance establishes three key areas of collaboration, including the promotion of technological talent, the joint development of cybersecurity challenges and the bank's participation in the IMMUNE Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. CYBERSECURITY TALENT HUB<\/strong>The aim of the project is to promote, develop, retain and recruit technological talent in the area of cybersecurity.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. CYBERCULTURE TRANSFORMATION<\/strong>which will encourage Santander's participation in the IMMUNE community with the aim of accelerating digital transformation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. SANTANDER KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE<\/strong>which establishes a collaboration in IMMUNE's training programmes, including masterclasses and sessions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Juan Riva, CEO & Founder of IMMUNE, <\/strong>believes that \"this agreement with Banco Santander says a lot about what the leading companies in the market are looking for: the best trained technological talent.         The agreement will have a Joint Coordination Commission composed of representatives of each of the signatory institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
