The market demands professionals, that not only adapt to change, but thrive with it. The Computer Entrepreneurship Program prepares students to seize exponential opportunities, using the latest technologies in an innovation community, through a collaborative platform.

 

A CUSTOMIZED PROGRAM

IMMUNE provides students with a combination of transversal skills and specialized training, based on the motto: “Learn by doing”. The program is project based, with a specific timeframe to complete activities.  Students decide when they prefer to code.

 

A REAL BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

In a professional-like environment, IMMUNE offers students the necessary tools and resources to solve problems, boosting the widespread disruption enabled by technology. Students approach their learning by applying the acquired knowledge in real-world projects, and creating solutions, both individually and with peers.

 

PEER-COLLABORATIVE LEARNING

Peer collaboration is a key component of the Computer Entrepreneurship Program. An effective group exchange of ideas is one of the highest indicators of a project´s success. Building skills such as: flexibility, accountability, listening, participation and efficient communication is one of the key aspects of IMMUNE´s methodology.

 

MENTORSHIP

Rather than teachers, coaching and mentorship to enhance learning is guided by our Miyagis. Miyagis monitor students learning progression, ensure activities are adequately designed and that students are provided with the support and reorientation they need during the program.  

 

MORE THAN CODING

Turning ideas into viable solutions, developing critical thinking, problem solving, business strategy and communication skills are fundamental in today’s world. Our program develops these skills with a range of activities, specifically assigning 20% of the syllabus based on humanities and social sciences.

CURRICULUM

 
 

The Computer Entrepreneurship prepares you to become a Full-Stack developer. You´ll acquire deep learning in subjects such as mathematics, statistics, AI, software engineering and cybersecurity, among others.

You´ll be able to develop and maintain software applications and systems using different programming methods and languages. You will develop centralized or distributed computer architectures integrating hardware, software and networks. You will evaluate the accessibility, usability and security of computer systems, applications and services, as well as the information that they provide.

LEVEL I - COMPUTER SCIENCE BASICS

Length | 6 Months

Total hours | 650

Schedule | Lessons during 4 months from Monday to Friday 9-13h

Activities | You will face your first coding challenges, synthesize key concepts through debate graphs both on campus and outdoors.

Objective:

  • Get to know the syntax of at least two programming languages

  • Deep into the basic structures of the data

  • Implement your first algorithms

Knowledge Areas in Computer Science:

LEVEL II - COMPUTER SCIENCE FUNDAMENTALS

Length | 6 Months

Total Hours | 750

Schedule | Lessons during 4 months from Monday to Friday 9-13h

Activities | Implement your first server, command shell and compiler. Develop your coding skills with exercises and present your projects to your peers.

Objective:

  • You´ll understand how an operating system is developed

  • Understand the fundamentals of computer networks

  • Understand the basics of data storage in a structured way

  • Algorithms and Complexity

  • Architecture and Organization

  • Information Management

  • Operating Systems

LEVEL III - ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FUNDAMENTALS

Length | 6 Months

Total Hours | 350 + over 300 for Internships

Schedule | Human Science lessons on Fridays 9-15h

Activities | Push yourself to solve complex coding challenges. You will predict the production of a solar plant by applying machine learning. Improve your communication skills, both written and speaking.

Objective:

  • Apply neural networks to classification problems.

  • Understand the application of search algorithms in AI problems

  • Learn to program in a purely functional language designed for AI

LEVEL IV - BUILDING WEB & MOBILE APPLICATIONS

Length | 6 Months

Total Hours | 600 + 20 of supporting peers in levels I & II

Schedule | Human Science lessons on Fridays 9-15h

Activities | Know the different fades to carry out tech projects in teams . Boost the user experience and find out how the audiences behave. Master your soft skills and the public speech.

Objective:

  • Create applications based on web technologies

  • Create applications based on mobile technologies

LEVEL V - SECURE SYSTEMS AND PROGRAMMING FUNDAMENTALS

Length | 6 Months

Total Hours | 350 + over 300 for Internships

Schedule |Human Science lessons on Fridays 9-15h

Activities | Know every step of the secure programming and solve highly complex coding challenges.

Objective:

  • How to create safe programs

  • How to design and manage systems securely

  • Use and implement cryptographic tools

LEVEL VI - SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

Length | 6 Months

Total Hours | 600 + 40 of supporting peers in levels III, IV & V

Schedule | Human Science lessons on Fridays 9-15h

Activities | You will design and implement a complex project related to IA and another project related to cybersecurity.

A NEW KIND OF TECH ENGINEERS AND HUMANISTS

The Human Sciences curriculum covers the essential study of human phenomena. It's union with Computer Science enables students to build new perspectives, explore intellectual possibilities and develop personal strengths.

ADMISSIONS

 

IMMUNE is an equal opportunities Institute that seeks to assemble a diverse and talented group of students. Neither previous coding knowledge, digital experience or minimum grades are required. To be admitted into the program, applicants will be required to complete the admission´s process: A set of activities designed to evaluate your programming skills and cognitive abilities, among others:

  1. RUN CODING

    The first step is to start programming in the on-site assesment of IMMUNE. A few exciting hours where you will have to solve short challenges through basic coding notions.

  2. FACE TO FACE

    It is very important for us to meet students in person through a personal interview. We discover new talents, future promises of coding, enterpreneur people while we share incredible ideas...
